What is Post it Pearls?

Post it Pearls is the new on shift teaching and learning initiative started by John E. Schneider, one of the chief residents at Washington University in St. Louis.

Each shift- morning, evening, and night at Barnes Jewish Hospital are busy seeing patients, making formal on shift teaching difficult to do. Post it Pearls attempts to collect some of the many on shift learning points from both attending and resident physicians during these busy shifts.

Each month some of the best pearls are presented in a segment as part of a 15 minute lecture series during the residency conference time.

Some of these pearls will be summarized in this blog with links to the evidence or discussions of the pearls that were presented in conference.
